Nintendo announced today during the Mini Direct Partner Showcase that the moody RPG PlatinumGames Nier: Automata Coming to Switch October 6th. End of YoRHa editionthis release will include previously released add-ons such as the “3C3C1D119440927” DLC, as well as a new console version.exclusive costumes – for example, with a kitsune mask – which were shown in the new trailer.

Nier: Automata is an award-winning hack-and-slash role-playing game in which a squad of androids seek to reclaim Earth for humanity and end machine domination on a dystopian planet. The story is much deeper, full of political intrigue and existential speculation, but the bottom line is that you play as a robot named 2B who defeats other robots with a variety of cool weapons and even cooler moves. This is typical PlatinumGames material, polished like metal. Shortly speaking, Nier: Automata is sick.

End of YoRHa edition on Switch includes Supplement “3C3C1D119440927”– the first and only part of the add-on Nier: Automata content that consists of three battle arenas to test your skills in, three costumes (rewards for completing arena challenges), and one final side quest exploring the newly opened amusement park elevator. This little side story is a journey. Believe me. On top of this oddly-named DLC, this release will also feature a couple of exclusive costumes for 2B and 9S, like double all-white outfits that even outfit a companion droid.

Perhaps the most understated exciting part of the entire announcement is the fact that Nier: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition on Nintendo Switch is a non-cloud version of the game. This is a true console port, meaning it should run pretty smoothly. Or at least as smoothly as a handheld console hybrid is capable of running such a frenetic action game. Nonetheless, people online take this opportunity to once again drag Square Enix per brutal Kingdom Hearts cloud ports.

Nier: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition Coming to Nintendo Switch on October 6th for $40. You can pre-order the game in the online store right now.
