PowerWash Simulator recently exited early access on Steam and came to Xbox via Game Pass. Looking at the latest numbers and charts, it seems that more people than ever before are entering the satisfying world of digital power flushing. But while cleaning up dirt with powerful water cannons can be fun and very enjoyable, it’s not as easy as pointing the hose at the ground and waving your hand.

So, here are some helpful tips and tricks to help you make more money and clean your house more efficiently. PowerWash Simulator on Xbox and PC.

Break large tasks into sections

Breaking down large, time-consuming tasks into smaller chunks with a few easily achievable goals is not only good advice for this video game, but a solid piece of advice that I use all the time in my life. Don’t think about the level as a whole, instead focus on one big wall, or on the porch, or on every trash can, or on the stairs. Before you know it, you’ll have cleaned and finished a dozen small areas and pretty much finished the whole job.

Use “Dirty Vision”

When cleaning, get in the habit of pressing the Select Dirt button, which is a tab on the PC. We started calling this mode “Dirt Vision” which is a lot better. No matter what you call it, this mode brightly highlights any remaining dirt in the level, allowing you to quickly see how much progress you’ve made. It’s also useful in places where the dirt blends in with the environment, or when you’re looking for the last, missing patch of dirt.

Climb low or high to clear dirt that is out of reach.

You can quickly get into the rhythm while playing PowerWash Simulator, moving from left to right or back and forth in a pattern. However, take the time to look up and down whatever you are cleaning. You will often discover an entirely new hidden and messy dimension that needs to be cleared out. Also, use any ladders or stepladders provided to get to the roof of the building or high walls.

Missing places? Use the checklist in the game

Even by looking up and down or using Dirt Vision, you can still reach the point where the object hints at your powerful jet stream of water and soap. When this happens, don’t run in desperation. Instead, open the in-game tablet and go to the details submenu, where you will find a list of everything dirty or clean in the level. You can even select an object to highlight it in the world, allowing you to quickly find and clean it up.

Focus on green and yellow nozzles

There are a lot of washing machines, attachments and extensions in this game and it can feel a little overwhelming at first. But don’t worry! The first half dozen quests or so can be completed without any upgrades. As for the tips, you should mainly rely on the yellow and green ones as they provide the best ratio of dispersion and power. And if something tough doesn’t clean up, move closer and switch to red for even more cleaning.

Don’t forget that you can turn the nozzle

Seriously, this is a very simple yet important feature that you should use all the time. On PC you press R to rotate and left trigger on Xbox. Changing the angle of the nozzle and jet will allow you to clean more efficiently.

save money

As in real life, money is king in the dirt-covered world of money. PowerWash Simulator. Thus, saving is the key to cleaning large and complex jobs quickly and efficiently. It’s very tempting to buy a lot of soap, new upgrades and gloves after you’ve completed your first few tasks and got some cash in your rubber overalls. But refrain, as in the early hours PowerWash Simulatormoney is tight, and instead you should spend wisely what little you have.

Do not buy soap (immediately…)

At the very beginning of the game, you will most likely notice all kinds of soaps that can be bought for $10 a bottle. They can be useful, but they are expensive and limited in number. So don’t buy… at first.

Update your washing machine ASAP

Instead, save money and buy a more powerful, high-quality pressure washer that will get rid of hard-to-clean dirt faster and will quickly deal with most of the dirt in the game. Also, wait to buy any extensions for your washing machine until you have upgraded the entire tool, as extensions must be purchased again for each new machine.

Buy an extension

If you have a new washing machine, you can save up to buy an extension cord. This will allow you to clear a large area of space without having to move around as the expansion allows your water to retain its power even over long distances, allowing you to clear rooftops and tall windows from the ground.

Finally, buy some soap and use it sparingly.

Although soap is not the most important and useful thing in PowerWash Simulatorsometimes it can save time or frustration. Keep in mind that the soap dispenser is not very powerful. But it has a wide spray radius, and the soap corrodes even the most stubborn stains.

Soap is best used if you have a lot of graffiti or stubborn dirt and want to get rid of it quickly. It’s also useful if you can’t get to the last bit of dirt under a car or bench, as you can just soak the area with soap and let it do its job. Just don’t buy soap until you’re on the level and see that you need it. Stick to one bottle so you don’t waste money on unnecessary cleaning products.

Complete small tasks whenever they appear

When you play Washing simulatorIn career mode, you will occasionally get access to tiny tasks, during which you will have to wash one motorcycle or car. With a powerful washer and the right attachment, these jobs can be done in minutes and are a great way to quickly pocket some cash.

don’t look at the sun on xbox

I’ve been playing on Xbox and I’ve been lucky enough not to run into any crashes and just be safe: Don’t look at the sun until the game is patched. You have been warned.

Ask a friend to make cleaning faster and more fun

PowerWash Simulator, like many video games, it’s more fun when you invite a friend to play. The game also supports cross-platform play between Xbox and PC, including Steam. Sharing work with a friend is a handy way to get through levels faster. And it never gets old to shoot your friends with the washing machine and knock them off the roof in the process. Believe me.

Turn on the music and relax

Download your preferred streaming platform and put on a laid back jazz or 80s pop playlist. Whatever works for you. Cleaning in silence is good, but cleaning with a soundtrack is always better!
